The Buccaneers are anchored up front on defense by a veteran group.  They have accounted for 7 sacks through 5 games this season.  That is not a very high number, but they must be getting pressure on the QB as they are only giving up 189.4 passing yards per game.

Their starting defensive ends are Greg Spiers (15 tackles, 1 sack) and Patrick Chukwurah (3 tackles, 1 sack).  They also have former Tennessee Titan Kevin Carter (15 tackles, .5 sacks) and the #4 overall pick of the 2007 draft, Gaines Adams (10 tackles, 0 sacks).

The Buccaneers have a pair of solid defensive tackles in Chris Hovan (6 tackles, 0 sacks) and former Vanderbilt Commodore Jovan Haye (9 tackles, 2 sacks).  The only other defensive tackle who has played significant time is rookie Greg Peterson (12 tackles, 1.5 sacks).  The fact that they only play 3 guys in the middle probably has something to do with the 124 yards per game they are giving up on the ground.
